Oral hygiene is extremely important if you want a strong and successful oral health, which is why our Mark Andrews, D.D.S.1 team strongly recommends caring for and cleaning your smile each day, even while you are traveling.
If you are planning a trip, it’s best to pack all of the oral hygiene products you need, including:
Travel toothbrush: The smaller the toothbrush you have, the better. That way, it won’t take up much room in your bag. It’s also recommended to store it in a protective cover while you travel. The cover should protect the bristles and keep them free from germs. Make sure the cover also has ventilation so the brush can dry after you scrub your smile.
Travel toothpaste: Remember that liquids that weigh more than 3.4 ounces are not allowed on the plane, so make sure your toothpaste is travel-sized and it meets the plane weight requirements. If you are not traveling on a plane, you don’t need to worry about this.
Floss: Make sure to pack a flossing product of your choice with you. You will need to floss your smile at least once a day if you want to have a top-notch oral health. Floss will also be handy if you accidentally get food stuck in your teeth. If you have floss, you can remove the food without any problems.
Mouthwash: Again, make sure you have a travel-sized mouthwash with you. If it weighs over 3.4 ounces, you will not be able to carry it with you on the plane. Mouthwash is handy because it will complete the smile-cleaning job and it will give you the fresh and pristine breath you need while you travel.
